Konstantin A. VARLAMOV.  [11. 5. 1849, St. Petersburg, - 2. 8. 1915, In the same place], the Russian actor.

The son of composer A.E.Varlamov. In youth participated in amateur performances. In 1867 has acted in A.Chitau-Ogaryova's theatre in Kronstadt.
The big influence on creative formation of young actor rendered  A.Chitau-Ogaryova and actress A.Shubert. Within 8 years worked in a province, acted in dramas, comedies, vaudevilles, operettas.

With 1875 actor of the Alexandrinsky theatre. A general recognition has received as the actor of a vaudeville. His game was filled with inexhaustible optimism, cheerfulness. Varlamov resorted to improvisation, burning jokes. In his game the courageous buffoonery was combined with psychologically deep development characters, skill of the speech characteristic of an image, thin lyricism.

He used big success also in Russian satirical comedy. Among the best roles: Varravid ("Business"  Suhov-Kobylin), Fried eggs ("Marriage"  Gogol), BIG  ( " People - we shall consider " Ostrovsky), Yusov ("Profitable place" Ostrovsky ) etc.

 In 80th. Varlamov was hardly ill (elephantiasis). Not having an opportunity it is free to move on a stage, played mainly sitting.
Up to the end of life remained the favourite of public. King of Russian laughter.

Present surname Velizheva. Was born December, 20 1880.

Having ended drama studio of A.N.Lepkovskaya, Has entered Solovzov troupe . Subsequently worked in Nikolaev, Riga, Kazan. In 1913 it is accepted in Theatre K.Nezlobin, Moscow. Played here conducting drama and comedy roles in modern plays. With 1925 worked at theatres of Simferopol, Baku, Kiev.

Game of an actress differed a subtlety and grace. With 1931 conducted pedagogical work in drama schools of Moscow.
In 1949 has left a stage.

                                               Yakov O. MALJUTIN.
April, 22 1886. Present surname Itin. The national actor of RSFSR, 1947.

In 1907 studied in an opera class of the Petersburg conservatory.With 1911 - employee of Aleksandrinsky theatre. In 1915 has ended the Petersburg theatrical school also was accepted in Aleksandrinsky theatre. The good external data, musicality, plasticity promoted success of the actor in romantic roles.
